I remember when I was right where you are. Excited to be able to do what you do and also guide others on the same journey. I remember reading all that I could find, watching free webinars and digging through Facebook groups just looking for answers. Looking for something that was going to make me feel confident enough to take the leap!
But the confidence came not with all of that research but with talking to others that were doing it. Getting on a call to ask all the questions I needed helped to set me up for success. Having others tell me that I was ready when all I could see was the path of confusion, opened my eyes to new possibilities.
Now several years in, watching my first graduate student intern upgrade to being fully licensed, I want other therapists to experience the joy of giving graduate students the space to really get their feet wet with taking on graduate students. I’ve learned so much along the way and want to share it with others.
